About The Tuckshop

GENERAL
The Tuckshop is a volunteer-run service for the students of our school. All profits are returned to the school via the P & C to fund upgrades to the school and provide opportunities that are otherwise not available.

All food provided by the Tuckshop has been approved under the Healthy Food and Drink Supply Strategy for Queensland Schools as being Amber or Green. Find out more about the JHSS Healthy Choices Program here or contact us. The apple symbol next to a menu item indicates it is an approved Green food under the Healthy Choices system.

As part of our continuing recognition of allergies and other health conditions, the foods marked with the "No Wheat" sign are Gluten Free. If you have any suggestions for other foods that we could consider selling that address other health conditions, please contact us as we'd love to hear from you.

The Tuckshop's opening times are:

Monday and Thursday - 7:30 am - 2:30 pm, with Prep orders taken on Monday's at 2nd Break only.

This is a far cry from the 5 day a week tuckshop's that we all remember from our school days, where it was fun to be involved and the kids loved being served by mum and dad.

It still is fun to be involved and the kids still love to see you, so why not sign up for even an hour and see the benefits first hand. The Tuckshop is air conditioned for those hot summer days, and you get a free lunch just for helping out.

So contact us to set a good example for your children and help give them the best educational opportunities you can.

DONATIONS
The Tuckshop volunteers are always coming up with new ways to help the Tuckshop run successfully. We have found that by far the best idea is to ask for a small donation from each family the next time they go shopping. No one wants to see the Tuckshop have to close, and a donated item worth less than $5 to you, means a whole lot more to us. It could mean the difference between the Tuckshop making money for the school or costing the P & C money to run it.

So please grab one of the following items next time you go shopping and your little item will go a long way in the continuation of the Tuckshop, and we thank you.

HOW TO ORDER
Write your order on a brown paper bag for each break, with your child's name and class clearly visible. Place the money inside the bag. Please do not sticky tape money to the bag. You can place the brown bags inside a zip lock plastic bag for safety of the money. Drink orders require a separate bag. EG:
